A Stunning Cultural study tour of Thai arts — March 4 through 25, 2010
Join us in the study of Thai arts in Exotic Thailand. Nurture your soul with the magic and spiritual wisdom of Thailand while furthering (or beginning) your studies in Nuad Borarn (Thai Yoga Massage) or practicing Yoga in this enlightening setting.
Spend two weeks in Chiang Mai learning your new crafts. In week three we retreat from the city to spend 5 days in a jungle lake idyll; practicing yoga and Thai Therapy, meditating, communing with nature and living in floating bamboo huts.
Leave the rat race for a while to appreciate the simpler things in life as taught by the joyful Thai people. Encounter the exotic food, architecture, music and arts in this fascinating, beautiful country. Spend time with other people of like-mind and feel secure in your experienced Canadian guide.
Embark on your Sacred Journey into the study of Thai culture incorporating

$4,000 CAD + 5% Tax – Includes Flights from Calgary, Alberta
$2,200 CAD + 5% Tax – land portion only
19 days (land portion) includes travel to Chiang Mai; Guest House accommodation. Schedule A all meals weeks two and three. Schedule B all meals week three only.
SCHEDULE A:
Week One:
One week retreat studying Nuad Borarn or studying Yoga with local teachers in Chiang Mai. Enjoy the famous sights and sounds of this wonderful city each evening and through the weekend.
Week Two:
At a scenic mountainous village environment, collect your vegetables from an organic farm, stay in an earthen natural house, and learn local healthy cooking, batik and soap-making. Time for yoga and meditation too…
Week Three:
Learning and deepening studies in Traditional Thai Therapy (Nuad Borarn) and Yoga (Hatha with influences from Iyengar, Ashtanga, Kundalini and others). After the first two weeks in and around Chiang Mai, working as a group, absorbing new information, practicing and letting go of the haste and stress of the lives we leave behind. Spend 5 days in paradise to complete the journey. Absorb the lessons learned in weeks one and two, practice on and with each other. Meditate in nature. Create a sacred space in time and body to carry home with you.
SCHEDULE B:
Weeks One and Two:
Retreat studying Nuad Borarn or studying Yoga with local teachers in Chiang Mai.
If you are new to Nuad Borarn, you can undertake the two week comprehensive introductory course in Thai Massage. As an advanced practitioner, you may take two 5-day advanced courses.
Enjoy the famous sights and sounds of this wonderful city each evening and through the weekend; take a cookery course, trek into the hills, visit Doi Suthep, create your own weekend itinerary.
Week Three:
Fly to Southern Thailand to spend a five-day retreat in an idyllic jungle lake setting. Stay in floating bamboo huts and spend the days in meditation, yoga practice and honing your Thai Therapy skills.
